The Arnolds Promise Witch Hazel or Hamamelis x intermedia 'Arnold Promise' welcomes spring with unique, yellow flowers. Thin, yellow petals dangle from the bloom, creating a spider-like look. The flowers bloom in early spring, while snow may still be on the ground and before the leaves open. The green foliage has gently serrated edges and turns a vivid yellow and orange in the fall before falling away during the winter. Woody stems have an upright, spreading growth habit and support dense growth. Arnolds Promise is a shrub, but mature plants can resemble small trees. Use this shrub to create a border or provide a focal point in a mass planting. This shrub is a deciduous perennial in USDA zones 5 through 8. Arnolds Promise Witch Hazel Care Plant this shrub in a sunny spot. Arnolds Promise can handle partial sunlight but will grow best in direct sunlight.
