Feathered Friends™ Flashy Flamingo Ajuga

Flowers are often the standout feature of plants, and the blooms of the Feathered Friends™ Flashy Flamingo Ajuga are lovely, but it's hard to compete with the bold golden-yellow foliage. The rounded leaves have indentations along the midrib and veining, providing a subtle texture. The foliage holds up in intense summer sun, ensuring this plant looks amazing throughout the summer. Light pink, tubular flowers bloom in the spring along upright stems. The Ajuga 'Flashy Flamingo', also known as Bugleweed, is an evergreen, providing year-round color. Feathered Friends™ Flashy Flamingo Ajuga makes an excellent ground cover that stretches to fill in empty space, creating a carpet-like mass of foliage. Include Feathered Friends™ Flashy Flamingo Ajuga in a border or container, or plant it on uneven or steep ground for erosion control. The ability to grow in full sun allows Ajuga to grow in areas unsuitable for many other ground covers. Feathered Friends™ Flashy Flamingo Ajuga grows in zones 4 through 9. Feathered Friends™ Flashy Flamingo Ajuga Care This Ajuga can handle full sun but performs best in part shade. Feathered Friends™ Flashy Flamingo Ajuga is adaptable and can live in various soil types, but it prefers a fertile, moist, slightly acidic soil that promotes drainage. New plants need consistent water, and while established plants can handle dry periods, water is needed during a drought to protect the foliage. Ajuga plants are not heavy feeders, but spring fertilization promotes growth. Feathered Friends™ Flashy Flamingo Ajuga is easy to maintain and does not require pruning. Remove dead or damaged growth as necessary, but its rare to need pruning shears for this low-maintenance ground cover. Feathered Friends™ Flashy Flamingo Ajuga Spacing The Feathered Friends™ Flashy Flamingo Ajuga reaches 4 inches tall and 18 inches wide. Space plants 18 inches apart to create a continuous and dense planting.
