Snow Angel Windflower

Anemone x Anemone Fantasy™ 'Snow Angel', also known as Snow Angel Windflower, is a dwarf form of Japanese anemone and a vigorous perennial. The clean white semi-double flowers arrive in late summer and glow against dark green foliage. The flowers have cheerful yellow centers, similar to daisies, and can brighten any shady corner. This tough, long-flowering perennial is easy to grow and can enhance challenging garden areas.

Snow Angel has a mounding shape and grows to 15 – 18 inches high. Over time, it will spread and naturalize, particularly in moist, fertile loam. Add Snow Angel to cut-flower beds, perennial borders, woodland gardens, cottage gardens and containers for late-season color. It has no significant pests, and rabbits and deer dont care for it.

Snow Angel Windflower Care Snow Angel grows well in full sun to partial shade, with 2 – 4 hours of direct sun. It prefers moist, humus-rich, well-drained soil, where it will readily spread by underground rhizomes. It also grows well in average garden soil and is not particular about soil pH. Water deeply during the first growing season until the root system is established. Mulch lightly around the base of the plant with compost to conserve moisture and provide nutrients to the soil. Cut this perennial back when foliage dies in the winter, or wait until spring before new growth emerges. Deadheading is not necessary. Divide every three years in the spring as clumps expand. Snow Angel Windflower Spacing Space plants 18 inches apart to allow for spread. Snow Angel is perfectly suited to growing in containers, which should be at least 12 inches wide and should be sized up every year.
